Mother's are the place that we call home.
On them we rest our heads and close our eyes.
There's no one else who grants the same soft peace,
Happiness, contentment, sweet release,
Erasing night time tears with lullabies,
Restoring the bright sun that makes us bloom.

~This site is lovingly dedicated to my Dear Mom!~
My memories of you Mother Dear,
will remain with me forever!
You have taught me so much
And given me so much love!
Love You, Miss You, Ma!
~~~Forever In My Heart~~~
As I dream in my garden of memories.....
I see many lovely flowers that remind me
of my childhood days when I would pick some
flowers for my Mom.
Our garden was not a big garden......
just a small patch in the back yard with a few blooms.
It always made me feel so important to pick
the best looking ones and bring them to Mom!
Mom was very talented at sewing pretty dresses for
my sister and me. She also designed and sewed costumes
for my school plays and dancing school recitals!
My Mom was very creative and now I realize that....
she truly enjoyed all that she did for all of us!
It made her so happy to see us gleaming over her creations.
When you're a kid you take a lot for granted....
With the passing years she was not able to crochet,
knit, sew or make those pretty little crafts anymore.
I know that it was tough on her and made her sad at times.
I appreciate all that she did for us and I will always
cherish these loving, warm memories forever!
Thank you, Mom....for all the love you have given us!
Somewhere Over The Rainbow
When all the world is a hopeless jumble
and the raindrops tumble all around,
Heaven opens a magic lane.
When all the clouds darken up the skyway,
there's a rainbow highway to be found,
Leading from your window pane.
To a place behind the sun,
Just a step beyond the rain.
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby,
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
and wake up where the clouds are far behind me,
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
away, above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow,
why oh why can't I?
To you who raised me
I offer this thought.
It is something I learned
Without being taught.
In all the world
There is no other,
To take the place
of you, my dear Mother.
~My Mother Kept A Garden~
My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it’s start.
She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem…
And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough-
But not too much because she knew
I’d need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong-
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.
I am my Mother’s garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me.
~Author Unknown~
If Mothers were flowers,
I'd pick you!
A mother holds her
children's hands for
a little while.
Their hearts forever.
Songs my mother taught me,
In the days long vanish'd
Seldom from her eyelids
Were the teardrops banish'd.
Now I teach my children
Each melodious measure,
Oft the teardrops flowing,
Oft they flow from my mem'ry's treasure.
~Author Unknown~
"God could not be everywhere and therefore He made Mothers"
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.
~Pat O'Reilly~
A mother is the truest friend we have
when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us;
when adversity takes the place of prosperity;
when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine,
desert us when troubles thicken around us,
still will she cling to us,
and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels
to dissipate the clouds of darkness,
and cause peace to return to our hearts.
Washington Irving (1783-1859)
